If you are brave enough to get married, you should be smart enough to know that you get married forever. I’m not telling you that to panic you and give you cold feet. I’m telling you that so when it comes time to buy the rings you exchange on your wedding day, you should take a few extra minutes and consider the possibilities of wedding and anniversary rings. That might sound like a gamble, and a somewhat anticlimactic one at best (the only way you don’t know what you are getting for your tenth anniversary is if you don’t make it to your tenth anniversary) but it will definitely give you an opportunity to design some truly unique wedding rings.
Part of the allure of anniversary rings is that they can help make up for what was lacking in the original rings. Many times when a young couple is getting married money might be tough. They have to make the tough decision of where to spend and where to save, and many have a hard time justifying the impracticality of purchasing a larger wedding ring when they could use the money elsewhere. As the years go by and the couple becomes more successful (hopefully) they will have the opportunity to improve upon the original ring, whether it is by doing a complete redesign or purchasing a ring that serves as a complement. As the years roll by and the fortunes increase, the wedding and anniversary rings could hopefully someday look like the rings of your dreams.
